There is a right way and a wrong way to set up your LI Profile. Let's make sure that yours  is working for you, rather than agin you...

Here are two things you should do with your profile, right now:

Customize your Public URL:

Click on 'Edit' next to the URL listed on the 'Public Profile' line/Edit.

Click on 'Edit Profile' from the 'Profile' dropdown menu (found in the top navigation bar of the home page). Click on 'Edit' next to the URL listed on the 'Public Profile' line.

Click on 'Edit' in the 'Your Public Profile URL' section at the top of page. This will take you to a page that will show you your current URL and will allow you to update that address.

Updating Website Links:

"Edit My Profile" page/Edit/Add'l Information/Select "other".

You can display up to 3 website links on your Profile. Website titles can be customized or you can use one of the suggested title options. To add a website, take the following steps:

Click on "Profile" at the top of your home page. This will take you to the "Edit My Profile" page

Click on "Edit" next to the "Additional Information" section.

Choose other for your website from the following options:

«       My Website.

«       My Company.

«       My Blog.

«       My RSS Feed.

«       My Portfolio.

«       Other (This reveals an additional field that allows you to enter your own website title. You can show the actual link, or the name of your company, rather than the default "My Website").

Type in the words you wish visitors to see.

Copy and paste your website address into the URL field.

Click on "Save Changes". Easy. Done.
